Proud People

I am proud to be Mexican American.
I am hard working, and persistent.
Never give up, never will.
Push till I can't no more.
I will work till I can't anymore.
Keep going till I drop to the floor.
I won't quit, my people never have.
My kids never will, they will learn what it means to be...
Mexican American.

  2. This is a fantastic start to the poem. Your voice just begins to shine through, you say you are proud of your heritage, back it up with description. Use figurative language, memories, and the history of your culture to bring to life for your readers what it is that you are proud of. You have met 2 of the 5 C's (concise and creative), but you still have a bit of work to do on clear, complete, and correct.
